Forty years, one story.

An Anniversary

Our Story

James met Grace at a church choir practice in 1986 — he joined the tenors purely because she sang alto, a fact he denied for twenty years and now tells at every family gathering. They married at ACK St. Peter's, Nyeri, in October that year, with a reception whose budget was, in Grace's words, 'faith and borrowed chairs.'

Forty years later: three children, seven grandchildren, one small farm in Kiambu that James swears he will retire to properly any year now, and a marriage that half the neighbourhood turns to for advice they pretend they weren't asking for.

Join us as we celebrate them — forty years of an ordinary, extraordinary love.

Dad still opens the car door for Mum. Forty years on. That is the whole lesson, and we were lucky enough to grow up watching it.
